Get ready for an evening of big horsepower, roaring engines, and plenty of excitement when the Tripoli Small Town Throw Down returns on Saturday, August 29th, 2026. The annual truck and tractor pull will take place behind the fire station in Tripoli, Iowa, with the gates opening at 5 PM and the action getting underway at 6 PM.

This year’s event features seven classes of competition through the East Central Iowa Pullers Association, also known as ECIPA. Fans will see a wide variety of powerful pulling machines competing on the track, including 9,500-pound 4.1 Limited Pro Stocks, 9,500-pound Hot Farm tractors, 8,500-pound 466 Limited Pro tractors, 11,000-pound 2 Hot 2 Farm tractors, 6,200-pound Super Stock 2WD trucks, 12,000-pound Farm Stock tractors, and 9,300-pound Super Farm tractors.

ECIPA is celebrating 30 years of championship truck and tractor pulling. The association sanctions 18 classes and has grown into one of the Midwest’s premier truck and tractor pulling organizations. Its events feature everything from entry-level pulling vehicles to Grand National-level machines.

Admission is $15 while children 10 and under get in free. Food concessions will be available on the grounds, so fans can grab something to eat while enjoying the competition. Coolers and carry-ins are not permitted.
