Woman Hurt In Three-Vehicle Crash Near Grundy Center
Grundy County authorities are investigating a three-vehicle accident that sent one person to the hospital over the weekend.
Leann Farley, no age or city given, suffered upper torso injuries in the crash. She was riding in a car that was struck nearly head-on by a vehicle that was side-swiped by the car that triggered the accident, sheriff's officials said.
According to authorities, the mishap began when 45-year-old Daniel Spooner of Sibley turned in front of a southbound Toyota Camry. The passenger side of the Camry and Spooner's northbound Toyota Prius side-swiped when they collided. After impact, the Camry smashed into the front of the northbound Honda Accord that Farley was riding in.
None of the drivers were hurt in the crash, sheriff's officials said. They identified the two other drivers as Damond Jones, 20, of Cedar Falls (Camry), and Sheridan Farley, 66, of Reinbeck (Accord).
The accident happened around 4 PM Saturday on Iowa Highway 14 about two miles north of Grundy Center.
