Waterloo Driver Cited After Rolling Vehicle
A Waterloo motorist faces charges after rolling his truck in Bremer County over the weekend.
The Bremer County Sheriff was summoned at about 8pm Sunday (July 23) to a single vehicle accident on Highway 218, just south of Waverly.
Authorities determined a truck driven by 30 year old George Laurie of Waterloo, dropped off the shoulder of the road; Laurie took evasive action by overcorrecting, causing the truck to cross the road into the ditch, where it rolled several times.
Laurie was not hurt, but he was charged with failure to maintain control, failure to provide financial responsibility-accident related, and driving while suspended.
