Black Hawk County sheriff's officials continue to investigate a burglary incident, in which two people have been arrested.

The break-in at a property on Independence Ave., east of Waterloo, was reported to authorities on Friday (June 15, 2018. According to authorities, a garage and some trailers were broken into. The suspects took tools, vehicle parts, a TV, and some miscellaneous items.

Then on Saturday at about 3:30 PM, neighbors called sheriff's officials to report that the suspects returned to the scene of the crime. They were loading up four stolen kayaks onto their flatbed trailer.

Responding deputies arrested the suspects. They who were identified as Salih Golubovic, 34, and Adis Didovic, 36, both from Waterloo. Both are being charged with second-degree theft, third-degree burglary and on-going criminal conduct.

Sheriff's officials said most of the stolen property was recovered from a building in Waterloo that Didovic was using. The investigation continues.
