UPDATE: Police Looking For Man In Waterloo Double Homicide
Authorities are searching for a man they believe shot and killed two women late Monday in a west-side Waterloo home.
Police have issued arrest warrants for 36-year-old Matthew Buford III, of Waterloo, charging him with two counts of first-degree murder. Buford is accused of fatally shooting his girlfriend, 42-year-old Tamica Allison, and her cousin, 41-year-old Andrea Anderson, both of Waterloo.
Officers found the bodies of the two women around 11:30 PM Monday, when they were dispatched to the house where Buford was living at 1112 West 2nd Street to investigate a report of a suspicious incident. Investigators believe both victims died of gunshot wounds, but autopsies will determine the exact cause of their deaths.
Waterloo police are asking for the public's help in locating Buford, described as a 6-foot, five-inch tall black man who weighs around 325 pounds. According to police, Buford should be considered armed and dangerous. They believe he may also possibly be suicidal.
