UPDATE: Officials Identify Black Hawk County Accident Victim
Authorities have identified the man killed this week in a rural Black Hawk County accident.
The victim was 24-year-old Casey Crow of Waterloo, sheriff's officials said.
An autopsy will be performed by the Iowa State Medical Examiners Office.
Authorities said Crow was killed Thursday when the sport utility vehicle he was driving on a gravel road went into a ditch and overturned northeast of Dunkerton. According to sheriff's officials, Crow died at the scene.
An unidentified female passenger suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the crash. She was transported to a Waterloo hospital for treatment.
Thursday's accident happened around 3:30 PM on Wheeler Road, north of East Mount Vernon Road near Dunkerton.
