Authorities have identified the victims in a Black Hawk County accident that left one person dead and two others injured.

According to an Iowa State Patrol crash report, a New York City resident was killed Thursday afternoon when a car and sport utility vehicle collided at the intersection of County Roads C-57 (Cedar-Wapsi Road) and V-49 (N. Raymond Road), about three miles north of Dunkerton. The mishap occurred just before 12:30 PM.

Authorities said 32-year-old Skylar Click was a passenger in a westbound car that failed to yield at a stop sign. The car's driver, 23-year-old Shayla Decker of Aurora, was taken by ambulance to a Waterloo hospital to be treated for undisclosed injuries.

The SUV's driver, 64-year-old Susan Schnadt of Sumner, also suffered undisclosed injuries in the accident. She, too, was taken to a Waterloo hospital for treatment, the Iowa State Patrol said.

Thursday's crash happened about 49 hours after another accident injured two people in Black Hawk County. The earlier mishap occurred Tuesday at C-57 and U.S. Highway 63, about six miles to the west.

According to sheriff's officials, 84-year-old Robert Buchholz of Readlyn and a juvenile female from Cedar Falls suffered non-life-threatening injuries when two vehicles collided at the intersection around 11:15 AM. Buchholz and the girl were both taken to a Waterloo hospital for treatment.
