People eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccination can now walk into select UnityPoint Health locations and get a shot without an appointment.

One of the locations is at the UnityPoint Clinic Express at United Medical Park, 1731 W. Ridgeway Ave., in Waterloo. According to UnityPoint Health officials, anyone age 16 and over can walk into the clinic and get a vaccine anytime from 9 AM to 6 PM. Those who prefer to schedule an appointment may call (319) 226-2600 or CLICK HERE to schedule online.

There are some community vaccine clinics scheduled in Waterloo this week:

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 21

  • Salvation Army, 89 Franklin Street: 11 AM to 2 PM
  • Antioch Baptist Church, 426 Sumner Street: Noon to 4 PM

THURSDAY, APRIL 22

  • Salvation Army, 89 Franklin Street: 9 AM to 5 PM (ACE-SAP free clinic)
  • Antioch Baptist Church, 426 Sumner Street: 2 to 6 PM

As supply of the COVID-19 vaccine continues to increase, UnityPoint Health officials continue to encourage everyone to get the vaccine when it becomes available to them.
