Union School District Investigating Possible Teacher Misconduct
Officials in the Union School District have launched an investigating into possible misconduct between a teacher and two students.
Superintendent Travis Fleshner posted a statement on the district's website and Facebook page, confirming the probe. He said the teacher involved has been placed on paid administrative leave during the investigation.
In the statement, Fleshner said the district's attorney has been involved in reviewing documents, policies and procedures since the initial concern was addressed to school officials.
The investigation apparently involves some possible inappropriate email exchanges between a teacher and two students at Union Middle School in Dysart.
Fleshner said he knows that there will be continuing questions regarding the investigation, but he's limited in what he can share publicly because it is a personnel matter.
