UNI Offers Scholarship to Son of Oklahoma St. Coach, Mike Gundy
Mike Gundy has led the Oklahoma State football program for the last 17 years after taking the reins of the program in 2005. Since then, the former Cowboys quarterback has led them to winning seasons year after year, including an overall record of 149-68 and winning 11 bowl games as their head man.
It will soon be time for his youngest son to take to the gridiron at the collegiate level.
Gage Gundy, a junior quarterback at Stillwater High School in Oklahoma, just received his first NCAA Division I level offer from Coach Mark Farley and Northern Iowa.
In the Stillwater's regular season last year, Gage threw for 1,324 yards and 17 touchdowns and ran for 374 yards and seven touchdowns. The Pioneers went 9-3 and their season came to an end in the semi-finals of the Oklahoma State playoffs. He is also a multisport athlete, playing baseball for the Pioneers.
According to his Twitter profile, the soon-to-be senior stands at 6'4 and 210 pounds. As you'll see in the tape below, he's got a prototypical frame for a quarterback. You'll also notice that the youngest Gundy has an unconventional release, but that's something that can certainly be fixed if deemed necessary by the UNI coaching staff.
Here's a look at some of his highlights from 7 on 7 play:

Mike's other son Gunnar, who is also a quarterback, is currently on the roster at Oklahoma State, earning a spot as a preferred walk-on.
Gunnar chose to play for the Cowboys over scholarship offers from Eastern Michigan and Toledo as well as interest from programs like Cincinnati, Arkansas, Kansas State, Memphis, and others.
