Two Men, One Juvenile Charged In Elk Run Heights Home Invasion
Two Waterloo men and a local teenager have been taken into custody on charges connected to a recent home invasion in Elk Run Heights.
Police arrested 21-year-old Davon Oliver, 20-year-old Daymion Orht and a 14-year-old girl on a variety of charges Thursday. Authorities charged Oliver with eight counts of felon in possession of a firearm. Ohrt was charged with first-degree robbery and conspiracy and the juvenile was charged with fourth-degree theft, carrying weapons and trafficking stolen weapons.
All three suspects were booked into the Black Hawk County Jail and were being held with bond.
According to court records, authorities searched an apartment at 6111 Stardust Drive in Waterloo Thursday morning. During the search, police located and seized seven firearms that were allegedly taken during the break-in at 229 Marie Street.
According to Evansdale police chief Michael Dean, a woman and three small children were sleeping Tuesday morning when three masked suspects invaded the Elk Run Heights home.
