2020 is the year for a lot of cool astronomical phenomenons such as meteor showers, falling stars and especially Supermoons. In fact the first Supermoon of the year is happening tonight!

Now since there will be many Supermoons this year this first one may not be the biggest and brightest of all the Supermoons but it will be the first and would still be a sight to see. If you don't know what a Supermoon is, it is basically a full moon but it is slightly closer to the earth which makes it seem much larger than it is.

The moon is pretty hard to miss in the sky so all you have to do is go outside tonight and look up around 11:39 pm and you should be able to see the Supermoon. Although remember to bundle up yourselves and the little ones because no Supermoon is worth getting sick over.
