SingleSpeed Brewery has been a staple of the Cedar Valley for years. Now, this successful brewery will be opening up a brand new location in the capital city.

News came out last year that the Waterloo based brewery will be opening a new location in Des Moines' Market District neighborhood. It's located on the east bank of the Des Moines River.

The taproom is set up in a tire shop at 303 Scott Avenue with an outdoor patio that is right against a neighboring bike trail.

SingleSpeed in Des Moines also has an identical menu to its Waterloo location. According to reports, it also has a five-barrel brewery system just for local, Des Moines beers.

The Cedar Valley brewery and adjoining tap room is located at 325 Commercial Street in Waterloo in the old Wonder Bread factory building is always a hotspot for locals, bikers, and fans of locally brewed beers.

Initially, Singlespeed set up shop in Cedar Falls with a 1700 SF facility, powered by a 3 BBL BrewHouse. In 2016, SingleSpeed moved their brewery to the Waterloo location, and now the tap house located at 128 Main Street also serves as their Research and Development center.
