Since 1931, the "Star-Spangled Banner" has been used as the official national anthem for the United States of America, it was put into law at this point. Although a lot of us really can't remember the words when singing it at any sports game or big event (especially celebrity performers) it brings out a certain pride and respectfulness towards our country every time we hear it. However with all the unrest in the country recently, the question has been brought up if the national anthem should be changed?

According to a new YouGov survey, they asked Americans if the national anthem should be changed? Why, you may ask is because the "Star-Spangled Banner" was written by Francis Scott Key who was a slave owner. With the racial unrest in the country recently, many things have been called into question such as taking down historic monuments with known racist backgrounds, changing names of cities with ties to it and now the national anthem.

According to the YouGov survey though, of the over 25,000 adults polled 60% of Americans do not want the national anthem changed. In fact, only 6% of those polled believe it should be removed and not replaced. But we want to know YOUR thoughts? Should the national anthem be replaced and if so with what song? Or should it be removed all together? Or should it stay?
