Sheriff Investigates Semi Rollover, Spilling Load

The Fayette County Sheriff is investigating a semi rollover near Sumner.

Authorities received a report of the accident at about 3:45pm Tuesday (Nov. 21), on "V" Avenue, north of Highway 93, which is east of Sumner.

The driver, 21 year old Tad Chapin of Tripoli, was turning out of a residence driveway, but made his turn too wide, causing the semi and trailer to go into the ditch and roll onto it's side.

No one was injured, but there was $20,000 damage to the 2007 Mack Semi and trailer.

The accident is still under investigation.
