Alice in Chains, Tool and Stone Temple Pilots to Play 2018 Rock on the Range
Rock on the Range has announced many of the bands that will be playing next year's installment of the popular festival, which will be held May 18-20, 2018 at MAPFRE Stadium in Columbus, Ohio. Among the major acts to be featured are Tool and Alice in Chains (the headliners) and Stone Temple Pilots, who will be performing with new singer Jeff Gutt.
“We are looking forward to returning to Rock on the Range as a headliner this year and rocking out with all of you. Bring It!” Jerry Cantrell of Alice in Chains said in a press release.
Joining those bands for the weekend will be A Perfect Circle, Avenged Sevenfold, Godsmack, Stone Sour, Breaking Benjamin and Machine Gun Kelly. Once again, there will also be the ROTR Rolling Rock Comedy Tent, with a lineup to be revealed in early 2018.
“Following last year's amazing festival we knew we had to deliver," added Gary Spivack, Rock on the Range's executive producer. "We have one of the only shows from Tool in 2018, a band the Rangers have been wanting for years – and also having A Perfect Circle on the same festival is something special. Adding Avenged Sevenfold, Alice in Chains, Godsmack, and the special returns of Stone Sour and Stone Temple Pilots only builds on that excitement. We can’t wait for May.”
General admission and VIP tickets are currently available at the Rock on the Range website, as are camping and premier hotel packages. The promoters are encouraging fans to buy tickets early, because prices will rise as demand increases. A layaway plan also allows for payments to be spread out over four months. Last year's festival sold out within a month of tickets going on sale, with a crowd of 135,000, the best-attended Rock on the Range to date.
