School Announcements – Monday, March 16, 2020

Northeast Iowa school districts are following Gov. Kim Reynolds' directive and closing, due to the coronavirus pandemic. Some districts that are having classes today, are dismissing early.

Below is the list of school announcements for Monday, March 16, 2020.

Allamakee: CLOSED FOR 4 WEEKS; Staff should report by 8 AM

Aplington-Parkersburg: CLOSED; Students or staff should NOT REPORT to school for any reason.

Bosco Catholic System: CLOSED; Families check email for message from school

Center Point-Urbana: CLOSED

Central Community: CLOSED

Clayton Ridge: CLOSED FOR 4 WEEKS, as recommended

Dunkerton: CLOSED

Eastern Allamakee: CLOSED

East Buchanan: Dimissing at 1:30 PM

Edgewood-Colesburg: CLOSED

Grundy Center: CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE; Students or staff should NOT REPORT to school for any
reason.

Independence: Dismissing 90 minutes early

Independence - St. Johns: CLOSED THROUGH FRIDAY

Iowa Falls-Alden: CLOSED

Jesup (including St. Athanasius): Dismissing 2 hours early; CLOSED beginning Tuesday, March 17

Kirkwood Community College - All Locations: Online classes through at least April 10

MFL-Mar-Mac: CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

Northeast Iowa Community College - Calmar Campus: Face-to-Face classes cancelled until March 20

Northeast Iowa Community College - Dubuque Center: CLOSED THROUGH FRIDAY; Face-to-face classes
cancelled.

Northeast Iowa Community College - Peosta Campus: CLOSED THROUGH FRIDAY; Face-to-face classes
cancelled.

Nashua-Plainfield: NO SCHOOL or ACTIVITIES FOR STUDENTS (Monday, March 16 and Tuesday, March 17);
Staff Must Report

New Hampton: CLOSED FOR NEXT 4 WEEKS (beginning Monday, March 16)

North Fayette Valley: CLOSED

Postville: CLOSED; All activities canceled

South Winneshiek: CLOSED; All Activities Canceled

Starmont: CLOSED

Sumner-Fredericksburg: Dismissing at 1:05 PM, followed by closure until further notice; No
activities or practices

Tripoli: CLOSED

Turkey Valley: CLOSED FOR NEXT 4 WEEKS (beginning Monday, March 16)

Vinton-Shellsburg: CLOSED; All activities canceled

Wapsie Valley (including Community-Readlyn): CLOSED FOR 4 WEEKS; District information to be shared
later

Wellsburg - Timothy Christian: CLOSED

West Central: CLOSED THROUGH APRIL 10; No Activities or practices. Staff report for professional
development.

West Delaware (including St. Mary's): CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE; All activities postponed.
