Several school districts in northeast Iowa are either closed or delaying the start of classes on Friday, due to winter weather.

Bitterly cold temperatures have set in over much of Iowa, with wind chill readings ranging between 20-below and 35-below zero. A wind chill advisory is posted for much of the state until noon on Friday.
