Tama County authorities are looking for two men in connection with a recent theft near Buckingham. The suspects should both be considered armed and dangerous, sheriff's officials said.

According to a press release, the men were operaing an early 2000s black Acura SUV pulling a wooden flatbed trailer filled with scrap metal when a witness confronted them. Officials said the suspects slashed the tire on the witness's vehicle, then fled into southern Black Hawk County at a high-rate of speed.

The driver was described as a white male in his 40s, with a brown beard. He was about six-feet tall, weighing between 200 and 220 pounds. The driver was wearing a brown Carhartt jacket and stocking cap.

The passenger was described as a white male in his 20s, approximately six-feet tall and 200 pounds. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and jeans.

Sheriff's officials believe the men may be responsible for other recent burglaries and thefts in Tama County.
