Pedestrian Dies In Buchanan County Interstate Accident

The Iowa State Patrol is investigating a fatal pedestrian accident in Buchanan County.

The mishap occurred on the southbound lanes of Interstate 380 near Brandon around 5 AM Tuesday (July 10, 2018).

Angelica Soto, 21, of Cedar Rapids, apparently walked into traffic and was struck by a passing vehicle, driven by Ashley Call, 31, of Spencer, authorities said.

Soto was pronounced dead from her injuries.
