Oelwein P.D. Arrests Jesup Man on Warrants

Oelwein Police have arrested a Jesup resident after a traffic stop Wednesday evening (March 20).

Just before 7pm, officers pulled over a vehicle in the 10 block of North Frederick Avenue in Oelwein. Following an investigation, officers discovered that the driver, 36 year old Anthony Taylor of Jesup, was wanted on multiple Sioux County warrants. The warrants were for Failure to Appear in court, and Driving While his License is suspended.

In another traffic stop, Wednesday afternoon just after 1pm, Oelwein Police officers stopped a car in the 10 block of 1st Street SE. The driver, 21 year old Anthony Nelson of Ankeny, was cited for Driving While Suspended.
