Making the Cedar Valley a little greener.

Neuman and some of the staff members of Townsquare Media spent Saturday morning volunteering for the good people of Waste Trac Education Team.

The event was held at the Waste Management Services Department in Waterloo and 854 vehicles showed up during the 5 hour event. The cars will filled with old electronics and chemicals that need to be disposed of in the correct way. There were so many TV's (some with some classic wood paneling), DVD players, tables, and even a reel-to-reel video player. It was our job to take those electronics out of vehicles and place them on pallets and wrap them so they could be collected and disposed of properly.

In total, there were 123 full pallets. It was a great turn out of people from the Cedar Valley who did their part of keeping the area as green as possible!
