N.E. Iowan Dies in Wisconsin Motorcycle Accident
A Northeast Iowa man has died from injuries in a weekend motorcycle accident in Southwest Wisconsin.
According to the Crawford County Sheriff's Office, the accident happened Saturday on Wisconsin Highway 35, at an unspecified intersection. 62 year old Richard Baumgartner of Waukon, was driving his Harley Davidson Trike Motorcycle on Highway 35, approaching the intersection.
Baumgartner was not able to stop at the stop sign, struck a curb, rolled the bike twice, and was ejected.
Baumgartner was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a helmet.
The accident remains under investigation by the Crawford County, Wisconsin Sheriff's Office.
