The conference championship games in the National Football League are just four days away and once again this year, the Iowa Hawkeyes are well-represented on the rosters of the four teams still alive... the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Green Bay Packers, Kansas City Chiefs, and Buffalo Bills. As a matter of fact, each of the four teams has at least two former Hawks on their roster... no other college in the country can say that.

Sunday's NFC Championship Game features Tampa Bay traveling to Lambeau Field to take on Green Bay. The game will include five former Iowa Hawkeyes and one player who played for the Iowa State Cyclones. This marquee match-up pits two of the best quarterbacks in NFL history, Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers, against one another. Brady is appearing in his 14th AFC Championship game, twice as many as any other quarterback in NFL history. It will be Aaron Rodgers' fifth trip to the NFC Championship game. The game kicks off Sunday afternoon at 2:05 p.m., Iowa time. It will be televised by Fox.

In the AFC Championship Game, Buffalo visits defending Super Bowl Champion, Kansas City. The big question about the game at Arrowhead Stadium is whether Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes will be able to play. He suffered a foot injury and a concussion, which ultimately knocked him out of the AFC Divisional round game last weekend. Five former Iowa Hawkeyes and one former Cyclone will be in uniform for the game. Kickoff is at 5:40 p.m., Iowa time. You can watch the game on CBS.

If you added up those numbers above, you know there are ten former Hawkeyes and a pair of former Iowa State Cyclones you'll see on the field this Sunday. *Note: One of the ten played at Iowa but didn't finish his career in Iowa City. Therefore, he's not listed "Iowa" on the team's official roster. The nine players who finished their college careers in Iowa City on the rosters of the four teams in this week's conference championship games are the most of any college. LSU has eight, Mississippi State seven, and both Michigan and Texas A&M have six. Here are all the Iowa Hawkeyes and Iowa State Cyclones you'll see this weekend:
