Waterloo Woman, Child Found; Local Teenager Missing
The search for a missing Waterloo woman and her infant son has ended, but police are now looking for a local teenager.
In a press release, authorities confirmed that 25-year-old Shelby Wittenburg and her young child have been located. They didn’t release any other information about her disappearance.
Now, officials are asking for the public’s help in locating 15-year-old Tanaya Burt of Waterloo. According to police, she was last seen near 726 Kingsley Ave. in Waterloo Monday around 1 PM.
Burt is described as a five-foot, three-inch black female. She was last seen wearing gray sweatpants, a tie-dyed sweatshirt, and a gray West High School T-shirt.
Anyone with information on Burt’s whereabouts is asked to call Waterloo police at 319-291-2515.
