A swimmer from the Czech Republic just set a record that most people would describe as absolutely crazy.

He’s 38-years-old  --- he swam over 265 feet under a frozen lake. It was frozen on the surface but a cool 37* under the 12"-thick ice – and this guy swam in it.

Triangles were cut out for him to jump into and out of. He jumped in the nearly frozen water, but then just hung out for a few minutes to get his body acclimated to the cold, then he dove under the ice and swam in the frigid waters.

It took him about 90 seconds and all he wore was a speedo and a swimmer's cap.

The previous world record for the furthest swim under ice was set in 2017 at 250 feet.

The diver shared many more photos and videos on his FACEBOOK page.
