Man Killed In Waterloo Shooting

Authorities are investigating a fatal shooting in Waterloo.

Just before 4:30 AM Sunday, police and Waterloo Fire Rescue personnel were dispatched to the area of Iowa and Dane streets. When officials arrived, the found a man suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

Police said the victim was taken to a local hospital, where he died from his injuries. Authorities did not immediately identify the victim.

According to a press release, investigators continue to seek out and speak to witnesses in the case. Authorities are asking anyone with information about the shooting to contact Waterloo Police at 319-291-4340, Option 3 (Investigations).
