Man Killed In Christmas Day Shooting At Rural Waterloo Home
Authorities are investigating a deadly shooting at a rural Waterloo home on Christmas day.
In a news release, Black Hawk County sheriff's officials said someone who lives at 1347 E. Airline Highway called 911 and told authorities there was a shooting between family members and an ambulance was needed. The incident happened around 4:30 PM Friday.
According to sheriff's officials, an argument between two adults resulted in one man shooting another man. Authorities said the victim was rushed to a Waterloo hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The names of the men and other information about the shooting was not immediately released. Sheriff's officials said they have no reason to believe the public is at risk.
Black Hawk County sheriff's deputies were assisted by Waterloo Police and Waterloo Fire Rescue.
