Man Dies in Waterloo Motorcycle Accident
Waterloo Police have not yet released the name of the person killed in a motorcycle accident Sunday (Sept. 18) night.
It happened shortly after 10:30pm, on Westfield drive, close to a railroad crossing.
A passerby told police that he heard a motorcycle revving, and then an impact.
A 54 year old man was operating the motorcycle; he apparently failed to negotiate a curve and crashed his bike. The man was found unconscious at the scene, and CPR was performed.
The man was taken to Unity Point-Allen Hospital in Waterloo, where he was pronounced dead.
The man's name and other details of the accident are not yet available.
