The Iowa Hawkeyes defeated Penn State 77-68 on Saturday afternoon in front of a sold out crowd.  Luka Garza led the Hawks with 25 points and extended his streak of 20 or more points against Big Ten teams to 14 games.

The Hawks went on a 12-3 run to start the 2nd half and established a double digit advantage. After a 9-0 run, they didn't look back and at one point led by 17. The team looked great and this was a huge win for the program.

I was at the game and I must say, it was pretty cool. Every seat was sold and it was loud. Saturday's announced attendance was 15,056. If you ask me, Iowa basketball is back in a major way and it's great to see!

Iowa improves to 20-9 overall and 11-7 in the Big Ten standings. The last regular season home game is this Tuesday, March 3rd in Iowa City.

Tuesday is senior night and Purdue will be in town. Tip-off is set for 8:07 and you can catch all of the action on BTN.

Go Hawks!
