Just before 2:30pm Friday (June 23), the Fayette County Sheriff received a report that a woman who had been tubing on the Turkey River, was stuck near Gouldsburg Park, north of Hawkeye.

When deputies arrived, they found 51 year old Teresa Dane of Sumner, sitting on a log, that was wedged against a bridge on county road W-14, just north of Sunset Road.

Hawkeye Fire and Rescue safely removed Dane from the river, without further incident.

She was not injured.

The Tri-State Ambulance also assisted at the scene.
