Looking at record highs, do you think Iowa's records beat states like California? The record high there was 134 F.

What about our record cold temp, does it beat Minnesota? There it was -60 F in Tower, MN in the 1990s.

Not all records are from years and years ago; you'll likely remember at least the record low, if you were in Iowa at the time.

Now, our record high isn't going to beat Arizona's 128 F, and our record cold certainly isn't going to beat the coldest day recorded in New Hampshire, -50 in the 1800s.
