Shhhh: Here’s The Average Body Count In 2026 For Iowans

Are you ready to feel way below average?

National Sex Day is this week so to honor this spicy time of year, one study looked at the average amount of sexual partners (body count) that one person from each state has in their lifetime.

Bespoke Surgical looked at the states with the highest average number of sexual partners. They based the study on responses from 2,200 Americans between April and May 2026. It seems like a low study number but I still need to know who the hell they interviewed for this.

Iowa's Average Body Count

You ready to feel really inexperienced? The average number of sexual partners for one Iowan is 25.7 people (I have questions on the .7 but k).

The national average for the amount of sexual partners for one person is 20.3 partners, which is up 40% in the last 5 years. Hey the economy's difficult, gotta treat yourself somehow.

Listen, I'm from Arkansas and there ain't no way. No way. We have full towns that size. But we do have the lockups for nonpayment of child support.

Reality vs. You

The other thing the study found is that Americans report having 20 sexual partners in their lifetime but mostly tell their current partners they've had 9, which speaks highly to romantic ethics these days.

53% of Americans say that a potential partner's body count would make them reconsider dating them, while 54% of Gen Z respondents say that they would end or avoid a relationship over a high body count, which makes them the first generation to do that overall.

And blame your 20's, since apparently 43% of Americans are saying that most of their body count partners came from a "specific stage of life" over 10 years ago.
