I think I've found my new favorite store in Cedar Falls, Bob's Guitars! I started playing guitar when I was around 11 years old and it's been a pretty big part of my life ever since. I remember being 11 and my parents not wanting to buy me a guitar, in fear I would quit and they would've been wasting $100. So I saved up and bought my first guitar with my very own money after helping a friend with a paper route one summer. I haven't really looked back since. I can't read a single note of sheet music but I did eventually teach myself how to play. I can only imagine the noises my parents heard from me practicing in my basement during those beginning stages. Thankfully they were pretty patient with me. After recently moving to Iowa, I wanted to find a unique guitar store to enjoy. I wanted to stay away from the big chain guitar stores and help out someone locally in Cedar Falls. I believe I have found that store.

Have you ever been into Bob's Guitars? If not stop inside one day and look around. This place is awesome. Even if you've never picked up a musical instrument in your life, you can still peruse the store and check stuff out. Maybe you'll find something you like and go on to become the next Keith Urban or Brad Paisley.

They have a huge selection of guitars to look through. From big names like Fender and Gibson to maybe lesser-known names of ESP or Klein. If you've been playing guitar your whole life or just want to get started, they have something for you. I really like that they offer something for everyone. If you're brand new and want some lessons to get you going, they offer those as well. Find out more on that here.

"Bob's guitars have a team of professional instructors providing in-person and online private guitar lessons for students of all ages"

Check out Matt Hartleip, he's one of the teaching instructors.

I'm actually blown away with the selection of amps they have to choose from. Just what you need, a 100watt, full-stack, Orange Amp to blow the windows out of your house.

Whether you play guitar or don't play any instrument at all this store is worth checking out. The place is just downright cool. On their Facebook page, they refer to themselves as "your not so average mom and pop guitar shop" and I couldn't agree more. They have 40+ years of experience when it comes to guitars and you can trust they know what they're doing.
