‘Iron Fist’ Teases Major ‘Daredevil’ Connection in First Full Trailer

At long last, Marvel’s Iron Fist is finally taking center stage before its March debut. See Danny Rand return home, face off with some familiar foes, and flash that glorious glowing fist in a full trailer for the final Defender series!

Marvel and Netflix released the first full trailer for the March 17 premiere of Iron Fist, as the series borrows a bit of that Luke Cage hip-hop vibe for its soundtrack. Along the way, we see Iron Fist finally returning to the Madame Gao and Steel Serpent teases from Daredevil Season 1, to say nothing of Danny’s sworn role to fight The Hand.

Now set for a March 2017 premiere, so reads the Iron Fist synopsis:

Returning to New York City after being missing for years, Daniel Rand fights against the criminal element corrupting New York City with his incredible kung-fu mastery and ability to summon the awesome power of the fiery Iron Fist.

Elsewhere, following the addition of Jessica Henwick as Colleen Wing, Carrie-Anne Moss as Jeri Hogarth, Jessica Stroup as Joy Meachum and David Wenham as Harold Meachum, past breakdowns also suggested Iron Fist would cast the roles of Shang Chi and “Steel Serpent.” Scott Buck will showrun Iron Fist, while Jessica Jones writer Scott Reynolds will also have a hand on the creative side, and a list of directors has been announced (including RZA!).
