Iowa Schools Will NOT Make Up Coronavirus Cancellations
The Iowa House and Senate have both agreed to waive the requirement for Iowa schools to reschedule days canceled following Governor Reynolds’ recommendation to do so. This in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Governor Kim Reynolds says she will sign the measure into law.
On Sunday, March 15, 2020, Governor Reynolds suggested Iowa schools cancel classes for four weeks, which most schools chose to do. Any classes previously scheduled from March 16, 2020 to April 12, 2020 will not be required to be rescheduled by the state of Iowa.
