Congratulations, Iowa!

In honor of Father's Day this weekend, the website Zippia put together a list of the "Daddest States" in the U.S. Basically, they tried to figure out which states have the most stereotypical dads. How did they determine this, you ask? They looked at factors like interest in New Balance sneakers, how obsessed with BBQ the state is, how popular "dad jokes" are, and the average amount of money spent on each child each year.

According to this criteria, Iowa is the NUMBER ONE "Daddest State" in the entire country. And we weren't the only Midwest state to do well! Our neighbors Nebraska and Missouri round out the top three, with Vermont coming in 4th and Kansas coming in 5th. On the other side of the survey, the states that did the worst were Florida, Hawaii, Mississippi, West Virginia, and California.

And speaking of dads, another survey was recently done by Planet Fitness that revolved around the "dad bod." They're apparently increasing in popularity! The survey found that 70% of women say dad bods are attractive, while 69% of men who have dad bods say they're confident about it. Additionally, around 80% of women think dad bods are a sign of confidence, and 65% of them went as far as to say that they think it's "sexy." You can read more results from the survey HERE.

Happy Father's Day to ALL the dads out there, whether you have a dad bod or not! We hope you celebrate with lots of grilling, dad jokes, and a fresh pair of New Balance sneakers.
