An Illinois couple took their shoplifting to a new level while stealing liquor from a popular store chain.

Illinois Couple Uses Unique Way To Steal Booze From Store

It almost sounds like the beginning of a joke. A couple walks into a store with a stroller. The stroller was empty so I'm wondering where the baby was. Hopefully, they didn't leave it in the getaway car alone. Since they're criminals, maybe they stole that too.

The pair are from Chicago and ventured into a CVS pharmacy on North Avenue in Elmhurst. I'm also wondering why did they travel to the suburbs from the city to shoplift. There are plenty of places to steal from in the Windy City. Maybe, there's better stuff to take and it might be easier.

The timing of the robbery doesn't make sense. They went during the lunch hour. CVS pharmacies are always busy. Especially during the day. Can you imagine how many customers were stopping in during their break?

How Did This Illinois Couple Steal Liquor?

The couple walked into this CVS with a stroller. Like I said earlier, it was empty. They headed to the liquor department. Then, the pair proceeded to place bottles of booze into the baby carriage. Of course, they had no intention of paying for the alcohol.

I don't know how they thought they were going to get away with it. There are surveillance cameras all over the store. The security guards could see everything. The couple ended up getting arrested.

A Chicago man and woman stole bottles of liquor and placed them in a baby stroller last week at an Elmhurst store, police said.
