If you haven't figured out by now, it's winter and everyone is miserable. No really, apparently Americans are so miserable during winter in the U.S. that Thrillist just came out with a list of every state ranked by how miserable their winters are.

So, where did Iowa fall on that list? Well, it may come as a surprise to you that we are not number one on the list (I mean after the past 2 crappy weeks, I feel like we earned that number one spot) but we are lower than you may think. Compared to all 50 states, Iowa is number 11 on on how miserable its winters are. I mean with snowstorms in the winter; 50 days of thunderstorms; an average of 47 tornadoes a year, it's no surprise that even Wikipedia describes Iowa's winters as "harsh."

So what was number one on states ranked by how harsh their winters are? Minnesota ranked number and I think we all know why. I mean they aren't that far from us and honestly, we are all glad we don't live there at this point!
