If a horror movie does not shave off a couple of years by scaring you half to death with all those jump scenes, well you may not be out of the woods yet. It could still make you look older than you really are.

All of us horror movie fans love a good scare,  it's the adrenaline rush you can only get while sitting at home on the couch with your blanket half covering your face and waiting for the monster to pop out. As much as we think these jump scares are taking a few years off of our life by stopping our hearts, that may not be necessarily true. However, researchers have proven that watching horror movies, thrillers and comedies can actually contribute to aging your face. Yeah that's right you are going to look so old just from watching a movie.

How does this work? Well, all of the different faces you make during a movie, from surprised to shocked to laughing, can add age lines to your face. You can get frown lines, crows feet, forehead lines, laugh lines, etc. If you were looking to look useful the rest of your life I suggest watching the most boring documentary you can find so then you will just fall asleep.
