In late June this year, five-star recruit and top offensive tackle in the country Kadyn Proctor made his decision to commit to playing for Kirk Ferentz and Iowa. The Southeast Polk product made Hawkeye fans everywhere giddy with excitement for his eventual arrival on campus.

Now, he's making them anxious.

After his decision to commit, Proctor was still being bombarded with messages from coaches who wanted him to flip his commitment and choose another school. Initially, it sounded like that was simply other coaches getting one last-ditch effort in to try to influence a five-star player to reconsider.

After Proctor took an official visit to the University of Oregon this last weekend, it might become a reality.

At least, that's what Justin Hopkins who covers Ducks recruiting for On3.com believes. The former writer for ESPN and 247Sports is so sure of it that he flipped his prediction on the recruiting website, saying that Proctor won't sign with the Hawkeyes, but will decide to flip his commitment and play college football in Eugene, Oregon.

It wasn't just Hopkins, either. A writer for Yahoo! Sports claims that the visit to Eugene went well: "I’ve heard that Proctor enjoyed his visit in Eugene and is still considering the Ducks, though a flip may not be a certainty just yet."

On top of that, Steve Wiltfong who is the recruiting director for 247Sports discussed Proctor's visit on the site's recruiting podcast. This is what he had to say:

Talking to some other people, they say Kadyn’s just simply trying to make sure that Iowa’s the right decision for him and that he still holds Iowa in very, very high regard. ... I don’t know if there’s much concern around Iowa City with Kadyn in the long run, but I do think that he is excited about Oregon and went out to visit. He’s kept in touch with the Duck staff and likes the way that we’re going to build that program up. Oregon has certainly put themselves in the equation here. What will happen, time will tell.

Wiltfong added that the visit was in the works for a while, but the Iowa staff didn't know about it.
