One person was injured Tuesday in a single-vehicle rollover accident in Black Hawk County.

The crash occurred around 5:45 PM at a rural intersection about seven miles south of Hudson. Sheriff's deputies and Hudson Fire Rescue personnel were dispatched to West Tama and Holmes Roads after receiving a report of the mishap.

Officials said the accident happened when the man driving a Chrysler PT Cruiser left the roadway and entered a ditch. According to authorities, the vehicle went airborne for a short distance and came to rest on the driver's side door.

According to sheriff's officials, the driver was able to exit the vehicle under his own power with assistance. The man was transported to a Waterloo hospital for treatment of what authorities described as non-life-threatening injuries.

The man's name wasn't released.

The accident remains under investigation.

In an unrelated driving incident, Fayette County sheriff's officials recently arrested a man for traffic violations.

Authorities took 47-year-old Kenneth Bostic of West Union into custody Sunday around 5:30 PM. He was charged with driving while license suspended and no registration. Sheriff's officials said they also discovered that Delaware County authorities had issued an arrest warrant for Bostic for driving while suspended.

Bostic was transported to the Fayette County Jail to await his initial court appearance.
