Definitive Proof Iowa is Obsessed with Football
There is little doubt football is America's sport. Baseball can claim to be our pastime, and certainly, people in the U.S. are starting to get really into soccer, AKA football everywhere else in the world.
But in the U.S., football is pretty big. In Iowa, it's reached religious status for many.

And, I can prove it.
Iowans LOVE Football
So, for the sake of this argument, we'll stick with NFL Football and not college, high school CFL, etc.
Using Google Trends, it's very easy to analyze what Iowans (or anyone) is searching. I specifically honed in on our neck of the woods: Cedar Rapids, Waterloo, Iowa City, and Dubuque.
The results, in the past 24 hours, as of Monday afternoon, here's what we searched...
In case it's not apparent, we LOVE football. Other than one lonely search about daylight saving, which is, FYI, this weekend, we only search for football, or something arguably football-related.
That last search, for YouTube TV, has to be because some Iowans want to watch football games that are out of our market, right? Or, just watch on their phone or tablet
But You Said the U.S. is Football Obsessed!
I did say the whole country was obsessed, but a Google Trends review of the entire country's search patterns in the last 24 hours shows that other states don't care... as much.
Other than one player's name, Nick Bosa, there isn't much. Oh, and Nick is trending for political reasons, not football-related. Jordan Love, the Packers quarterback is on the list, likely due to injury reports. Otherwise... nada.
