In advance of his upcoming Las Vegas residency, David Lee Roth warmed up his new, two-guitar band in front of some invited guests.

One of the attendees took video and uploaded it to his Facebook page. You can see Roth and company running through snippets of "Atomic Punk," "Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love," "Dance the Night Away," "Runnin' with the Devil" and "Panama" below.

Roth will play nine dates -- three in January 2020 and six in March -- at the House of Blues at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. The press release boasted that the shows will mark the first time Roth has fronted a band with two guitarists, and he later pointed out that, although he will be performing many of his Van Halen hits, the sound will be different.

“We do not sound like Van Halen live,” he said. “You have not heard this. Van Halen live is lead guitar, bass, drums, sing. Here, we bring it the way a record brings it. To do that requires two or three guitars. We have five people hollerin’. It’s big rock sound. It’s not ‘Just a Gigolo.’ It’s not brass band. That was a quickie vacation.”

He was also quick to point out that his new group is "not a tribute band. ... We bring the respect and dignity to what we are doing the same way that the Lincoln Center brings to the Beethoven Festival with the latest Philharmonic," he added. "It’s a new orchestra, and a whole new sound.”
