2020-21 Iowa High School Girls Basketball Rankings

This week's Iowa high school girls basketball poll features 11 teams from the Cedar Valley and Northeast Iowa.

Three of the area squads are ranked among the top five in their respective classes. The high rated teams from the region are Dike-New Hartford (No. 2 in Class 2A) Center Point-Urbana (No. 4 in Class 3A) and Waterloo West (No. 3 in Class 5A).

Dike-New Hartford is one of five teams from the North Iowa Cedar League that is ranked in the sixth poll of the 2020-21 season. AGWSR is rated No. 15 in Class 1A. Ranked behind the Wolverines in 2A are Denver at No. 7, Grundy Center at No. 9 and Jesup at No. 12.

The lone newcomer to the 2A poll is MFL-Mar-Mac. The Bulldogs debuted at No. 15.

Other teams ranked from the area are Vinton-Shellsburg (No. 15 in Class 3A), Waverly-Shell Rock (No. 6 in Class 4A) and Cedar Falls (No. 6 in Class 5A).

The new survey was released by the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union (IGHSAU) late Thursday afternoon.
