2020-21 Iowa High School Girls Basketball Rankings

This week's Iowa high school girls basketball poll once again features nine teams from the Cedar Valley and Northeast Iowa.

The highest rated teams from the region continue to be Dike-New Hartford and Waterloo West, which are ranked among the top five in their respective classes. The undefeated Wolverines (16-0) are No. 2 in Class 2A for a third-straight week, and the Wahawks (13-1) kept their No. 3 ranking in Class 5A.

Five spots behind West in the 5A poll is Cedar Falls. The Tigers (13-3) are ranked eighth for the second week in a row.

The North Iowa Cedar League teams is well-represented in the the latest survey, with teams appearing in the rankings -- all of them in Class 2A. Grundy Center (13-2) is rated at No. 7, five spots behind Dike-New Hartford. Denver (13-4) is No. 10.

Other ranked teams from the area are: Center Point-Urbana (No. 8 in Class 3A), Vinton-Shellsburg (No. 13 in Class 3A), Waukon (No. 14 in Class 3A) and Waverly-Shell Rock (No. 6 in Class 4A).

The new survey was released by the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union (IGHSAU) Thursday afternoon.
