2019-20 Iowa High School Girls Basketball Rankings

Here is this week's Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union (IGHSAU) basketball poll.

The ninth rankings of the season feature 10 teams from the Cedar Valley and northeast Iowa.

Dike-New Hartford (14-1) held on to the top spot in the Class 3A poll for a third-straight week. The Wolverines are ranked just ahead of No. 2 Crestwood (14-2). Jesup (12-3) made its debut in the 3A rankings at No. 14.

In Class 5A, Cedar Falls (10-4) held on to the No. 7 spot, following a pair of victories during the past week. There was also no movement for Waterloo West (13-3), which remained at No. 8.

East Buchanan (12-4) jumped two spots in the Class 1A survey this week. The Buccaneers climbed from No. 13 to No 11, and Central Community of Elkader (16-2) went up one spot to No. 14.

There was no movement for unbeaten Center Point-Urbana or Waverly-Shell Rock in the Class poll. The Stormin' Pointers (15-0) are ranked No. 3 again this week, while the Go-Hawks (13-2) stayed at No. 9.

The area's other rated team is MFL-Mar-Mac (16-2), which is still featured at No. 5 in Class 2A. Hudson, ranked 13th last week, dropped out of the top 15 this week.

The latest poll was released by the IGHSAU Thursday afternoon (Jan. 30, 2020).
