2019-20 Iowa High School Girls Basketball Rankings

Here is this week's Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union (IGHSAU) basketball poll.

The seventh rankings of the season feature 11 teams from the Cedar Valley and northeast Iowa, one of which is now ranked No. 1.

Dike-New Hartford (10-1) climbed to the top of the Class 3A poll this week, jumping ahead of No. 2 Crestwood (12-2). The Wolverines jumped two spots from No. 3 in the last week. They were ranked at No. 6 two weeks ago.

In Class 5A, Cedar Falls (8-3) and traded spots with metro rival Waterloo West (9-2). The Tigers are ranked No. 7 this week, just ahead of the eight-ranked Wahawks. The teams were in the same position last week, but in reverse order.

Other area teams in the survey are Clarksville, East Buchanan (Class 1A), MFL-Mar-Mac, Hudson (Class 2A), Center Point-Urbana and Waverly-Shell Rock (Class 4A).

The latest poll was released by the IGHSAU Thursday afternoon (Jan. 17, 2019).
