2018-19 Iowa High School Girls Basketball Rankings

Here is this week's Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union (IGHSAU) basketball poll.

The eighth rankings of the season once again feature 13 teams from the Cedar Valley and northeast Iowa. Weather postponed several scheduled games across Iowa during the past week, so there weren't many changes in the latest poll.

Grundy Center (12-0) remains the highest-rated area team. The Spartans continue to lead the Class 2A rankings, which also feature Dike-New Hartford (10-2) at No. 10 and Aplington-Parkersburg (14-1) at No. 12.

In Class 5A, Cedar Falls (12-1) advanced one spot to No. 4, while Waverly-Shell Rock (12-2) moved into the top five of the Class 4A rankings, climbing from seventh to fifth.

Other area squads in the survey are AGWSR, Clarksville, Janesville, Kee (Class 1A), Center Point-Urbana, Crestwood, Iowa Falls-Alden and Waukon (Class 3A).

The latest poll was released by the IGHSAU Thursday afternoon (Jan. 24, 2019).
