Cedar Falls Wahlburgers Gets An Official Opening Date

People of the Cedar Valley won't have to wait too long for a new and exciting eatery to open up.

We reported that a Wahlburgers would be opening up in Cedar Falls last week. On Monday morning, Hy-Vee officials announced that the new location will open this week.

The very first Wahlburgers opened in Massachusetts in 2011 and just three years later, the Wahlburg brothers launched the reality television show of the same name, according to the franchise website. This show launched this restaurant into the national spotlight.

In 2018, the brothers partnered with Hy-Vee to open more than twenty new Wahlburger locations. There are currently fifteen of these Boston-based restaurants in the Hawkeye State.

The majority of these locations are connected to Hy-Vees; just like the two new Iowa Wahlburgers that are set to open this year. One of them will be located in the Hy-Vee in Muscatine.

The Cedar Falls location will open on Tuesday, January 18th. Officials say that Wahlburgers is taking the place of the grocery store's Hy-Vee Market Grille Express section. That part of the facility was completed converted to transform into a "casual", counterservice Wahlburgers inside of the grocery store.

This new eatery will be open seven days a week from 11am to 9pm, and have all of the classic menu options as a "full-service" Wahlburgers; like their burgers, all of their sides, sandwiches, shakes, and so forth.

Hy-Vee breakfasts will still be available at this location from 6am to 11am. The store will be located at the Hy-Vee in Cedar Falls at 6301 University Avenue.
